The Canggu Club Tennis Academy / Tennis Kids Program

Canggu Club Tennis Academy (CCTA) is offering their participants a new dynamic and refreshing I.T.F. (International Tennis Federation) concept called; Tennis Kids.

Tennis Kids is a new and exciting format for children under the age of 12 to get into the game by utilising equipment, court dimensions and scoring that is tailored to their age and size.

It's about engaging in lots of games and having fun. Children learn tennis in a socially interactive, happy environment using kids sized equipment. Whilst learning new skills and interacting with other kids in a familiar, manageable environment, they also build confidence and learn to appreciate their own worth.

Tennis Kids finally addresses one of the most intimidating areas for children learning tennis; playing on an adult-sized court with adult-sized equipment , as well as using the same complicated scoring system. This intimidating combination often causes children to lose interest without ever really playing and experiencing the game, not to mention actually learning the skills necessary to succeed.

Tennis Kids is designed to help children have fun from their very first swing by appropriately scaling down all aspects of regulation tennis—including equipment, court dimensions, and scoring—so that the game becomes tailored to their age and size. The format is broken down into three age groups and colours, under the age of 8 ( red stage ) , under the age of 10 ( orange stage ) and under the age of 12 ( green stage ) !

As announced earlier we will still working in time slots and after each training period there will be an evaluation with the coaches to see which children need to be promoted to a higher group. This promotion will be rewarded with a diploma. Also after every period the Academy will organize an open day tournament where parents are very welcome to see the children's improvements.

By introducing this new concept we hope to professionalise our Academy in order to make it even more interesting to join and stay with the Canggu Club Tennis Academy .

Tennis court sizes and balls

Stage 3 – Red Ball & Red Court

max 8-10 children

Red Balls are either sponge or felt. They are larger and slower than a normal ball.

Recommended for children aged 4-8 years and starter adults.

 

Stage 2 – Orange Ball & Orange Court

max 6-8 children

Orange balls are low compression balls, around 50% slower than a normal ball.

Recommended for children aged 7 years and above and starter adults

 

Stage 1 – Green Ball & Green Court

max 4 children

Green balls are low compression balls, around 25% slower than a normal ball.

Recommended for children aged 9 years and above and starter adults

 

Diploma

This is the diploma Canggu Club will award after each successful period.

 

Training Dates

The first period will be from; September 1 – December 20

The second period will be from ; February 2 – March 28

The third period will be from; April 20 – June 27

 

Prices

Stage 1 – 280.000 Rp. per month (max 8-10 children on a court )

Stage 2 – 390.000 Rp. per month (max 6-8 children on a court )

Stage 3 – 520.000 Rp. per month ( max 4 children on a court )
